Safari Not Loading Certain TikTok Video Downloads Correctly – iOS 17.4 Bug?

Hi there,

I've noticed a strange issue when trying to download TikTok videos for offline viewing using Safari on my iPhone (running iOS 17.4). I’ve been using a site called https://musicallydown.click/en/ — it’s a simple tool for saving TikTok videos without watermarks, mainly for study purposes or saving clips for personal use.

The problem: when I paste some TikTok video links into the tool using Safari, either:

  • The download doesn’t start at all, or

  • It redirects and then gets stuck on a blank page (sometimes showing a loading spinner that never finishes)

When I test the same link on Chrome (on a PC), it works fine — so it seems like something specific to iOS or Safari. I’ve cleared cache, tested on both Wi-Fi and data, and tried private browsing mode — same result.

Has anyone else experienced download issues like this in Safari, especially with third-party tools handling video content?

Just wondering if this is a known bug, maybe related to the way Safari handles redirects or video download streams. Any insights would be appreciated!

Thanks 🙏

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 18
