How do I remove my Apple ID from my old iPhone's Home Screen for trade-in?

trading in old phone and after

erasing all data and removing phone from iCloud and removing from find my iPhone, the Home Screen still says phone locked to owner with last letters of my Apple ID. How do I get the phone to not show that so I can retir. For trade in ? It still opens by swiping up without any password .

Go Here: Trade in your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android Device - Apple Support. You should have signed out of of iCloud prior to resetting this. Doing so, you wouldn't get your Apple ID showing up.

You didn’t properly erase the iPhone because it is still Activation Locked to you. In that case, you can enter your Apple Account credentials to remove the lock and prepare it for Trade In. Keep in mind that Apple will not accept an Activation Locked iPhone for Trade In and it will be worth zero dollars. Once you see the Hello screen, the iPhone has been properly wiped and is ready for Trade In.
