How to upgrade macOS from 10.15 to 11.1 or later?

I just brought my mac book last week and when trying to download app it requires mac OS 11.1 or later and have try checking for update so has to upgrade but it keep on telling me my software is up to dated which is 10.15. Try doing this for a long time till now

Whether and how far you can upgrade a Mac will depend on its model – including the hardware model year, and time of year.


If your Mac keeps telling you that it is up-to-date, it may be that it is too old to run anything newer than Catalina. Should that be the case, checking repeatedly for updates will not cause that to change.
