"How do I disable passcode for Apple Wallet on my iPhone 16?: I don't want the hassle of typing in all those digits every time I open my phone, but I do want to have Apple wallet. How can I get the stupid passcode off my phone and still keep Apple wallet?"

Being not an option, recommend this to Apple. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what their customers prefer, and what features to include in iOS versions to come. Apple will know nothing of your ideas if you don't provide them to them.

2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that you want this to be an option and why. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

I GUARANTEE that Apple will NEVER remove the requirement for user authentication to use the Wallet, so if sending feedback is satisfying for you, fine, but it won’t change anything. At its most basic, If Apple ever did remove the authentication requirement no bank would be willing to have account information in the wallet.

The banks require you to have a passcode, Face ID setup and enabled and Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled, in order to add their credit or debit cards in the Wallet app.

Have you thought this through? If security wasn’t required to use Wallet then anyone who stole your phone could cost you $thousands on credit cards and drain your bank account if you keep any debit cards on it.
