Contacts not searchable after iOS 18.4 update

If I go to Contacts and search then no results are found. "Hey Siri, call [name]", again no search results. If I go to Contacts, the A-Z scroll on the right side doesn't work. If I go to home screen, swipe down and type a contact name then it appears.

I call contacts all the time using Siri. Also means I can't call anyone whilst driving. Really irritating.

Have of course tried force restarting phone several times and watched a YT video where you 're-index' contacts but no joy.

Appreciate any help brains trust! :-))
