Purchased content (Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse) “incompatible” on TV’s Apple TV app

I own the digital version of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. If it matters, this digital version came with the 4K ultra HD + Blu Ray disc.


The movie shows in my library, but when I try to play it on any of the three TVs in my home (all are Samsung, if it matters) through the Apple TV app, a message appears that says “Incompatible Content. To play this show, try using an Apple device.”


I am able to play the movie through the app on my iPhone or IPad, but this is not how I want to watch it. I’ve tried turning off/turning on the TVs, and the Apple TV app appears to be up-to-date, as updates happen automatically. How can this issue be fixed?
