Why can't my new iPad mini (A17Pro) locate the printer for AirPrint?

There is nothing wrong with the printer (HP Envy 6055e) or AirPrint. Our old generation 6 and 8 iPads had no printing issues. New iPad (A16) has no issues. However, the wife’s new iPad mini (A17Pro) can’t seem to locate the printer, which seems very odd. Tried disabling private IP address on our WiFi network as suggested elsewhere. That didn’t seem to make any difference. Any thoughts?

If you already tried (to no avail) to:

  • Turn off all your devices (printer included)
  • Turn off your modem-router for at least 1 minute.
  • Turn it back on, waiting for its complete auto-configuration
  • Turn your printer back on, and make sure it's connected to your wifi network
  • Turn your wife's iPad Mini back on, and check if it can "see" your printer

I suggest that you contact HP support team and ask them if a new firmware for your printer model is available/downloadable.

Shouldn't be this case, I'd contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Contact - Official Apple Support
