iPhone 11 freezing and restarting after updating to 18.4

After updating to iOS 18.4, my iPhone 11 keeps freezing and restarting multiple times a day. The phone often freezes when opening various apps, using Safari, launching the Camera app, reading Face ID, and even when trying to delete apps. These freezes frequently cause the device to restart on its own. The issue makes the phone very unstable and difficult to use. Is there any solution or fix available for this problem?

The device has no unusual configurations, no jailbreak or anything like that, just regular apps from the Apple Store. The phone started restarting for no reason after updating to 18.4 — it was working fine before. So according to you, it’s my fault, and every time I magically perform a secret finger trick on the screen and crash apps, including the ones built into the system? If you’re saying that an update can't affect the phone’s performance, then why are you even commenting on this post? Are you just collecting points for posting useless comments?

There’s really a need here for an emoji of a guy whose head explodes after hearing nonsense.

Hi ,

please follow next steps, this should help you. Back up all your data before you proceed.

To perform a DFU (Device Firmware Update) reset on an iPhone 11, even with iOS 18, the process remains the same. DFU mode is a deep restore mode that reloads both the firmware and iOS — it’s typically used when your iPhone is seriously messed up and standard recovery won’t work.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you have a Mac or PC with Finder (macOS Catalina or later) or iTunes (macOS Mojave or earlier, or Windows).

DFU Reset Instructions for iPhone 11

  • Use a Lightning cable to
  • connect your iPhone to the computer.
  1. Connect your iPhone 11 to the computer using a Lightning cable.

Quickly press and release the Volume Up button.

  1. Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.

Press and hold the Side (Power) button until the screen goes black.

  1. While continuing to hold the Side button, now press and hold the Volume Down button for about 5 seconds.

Release the Side button but keep holding the Volume Down button for another 10 seconds.

  • If done correctly, the screen should stay black.

    • Finder (Mac) or iTunes (PC) will detect an iPhone in recovery mode — but the screen will stay black (this is how you know it’s DFU mode, not just regular recovery mode).

Follow the prompts on your computer to Restore your iPhone.

To Exit DFU Mode (if you want to cancel it):

Just press Volume Up, then Volume Down, then press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.

Let me know if you want help with the restore process or using IPSW files.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.
