won’t connect to internet, can’t find up address

UP or IP?
How are you connecting the computer? Wired, or wireless?
If wired, did you make sure the ethernet cable plugs into both ethernet ports and snaps into place? The snap tab of the cable should not have broken off, if it did, you'll need to replace the cable.
If wireless make sure your network picked is the correct name, and has no certificate issues.
If the network is not showing and is wireless, you have be between 10 feet and 150 feet from the wireless router.
