Downtime not working when my child phone is powered back on

When my child powers off then powers on their phone, downtime is not enabled. They are able to access any app without restriction. Unless they use the search feature. When they select search only then is the downtime engaged. Help please

Issue with iPhone Downtime Restrictions I’ve discovered that my child has found a way to bypass the iPhone’s downtime restrictions. When he gets the prompt asking if he wants "one more minute," he powers off the phone. Upon restarting, the app become accessible for the rest of the day, and the communication limits are lifted as well. It seems the phone treats the apps as if they’ve been approved for full-day access, and I’m unable to reapply the intended limits. Anyone else experience this? The downtime feature is essentially useless

Downtime turning off on my child’s phone I’ve tried the community advice, checked all my settings on my son’s settings, checked the latest versions of iPhone on both phones (we both have SE 2020 phones), and nothing is working. Can someone please help?
