How can I prevent iCloud app from launching to foreground on Windows 11 boot?

The iCloud app launches to the foreground on every boot (Windows 11). It used to launch minimized, but now it is not. I tried disabling everything in Windows Settings under iCloud's "Runs at log-in" menu, other than iCloud Photos (I run a sync for photo backup to a NAS), but it still launches to the foreground / not minimized.

Is anyone else seeing this?

iCloud version 15.3.146.0

Windows 11 Home 24H2, OS build 26100.3476

I'm having the same problem. My iCloud app was updated on April 2nd from the Microsoft Store and soon after the problem started occurring. There should be a simple setting that basically says "Launch iCloud Minimized At Startup" but there isn't or at least I can't find it. I don't want to prevent iCloud from loading at Startup. I just want it to load minimized. What's so hard about that? Yes I know I could I just minimize the window after it loads but why should I have to. These are the only app settings that I can see.

Yes, worked for me as well. And did so with the update before. With the latest update, the app reappeared in the foreground. Thus, I assume, that this problem will keep returning with every update of the iCloud app. Reinstalling iCloud is not an option for me, because the entire iCloud will then be synchronized over and over again - not talking about the time and effort it takes to reinstall what should work with the right registry settings. Apple, please take ownership and solve this.

UPDATE: Well, it appears that I might have fixed my issue with iCloud starting in the foreground. I took a chance and uninstalled iCloud and rebooted my computer. I then returned to the Microsoft Store and reinstalled iCloud. I rebooted once again, and iCloud started up minimized. That was yesterday. Upon starting my computer today iCloud still starts up minimized. Maybe I just got lucky. I can't say if this will work for everyone having the same issue. However, I still believe Apple should just add a simple switch in iCloud settings that would force iCloud to launch minimized at startup. I'm running Windows 11 24H2.

Same issue. I am in the Windows 11 Insider Program, and I thought the iCloud window appearing had something to do with the latest Windows beta.

In addition, the Passwords app for Windows still opens, then crashes. Every. Single. Time. Have talked with Windows support and Apple support about this, and neither wants to take ownership of the issue.

Passwords initially worked when I bought my PC laptop last Fall; at some point it ceased working correctly. Thank goodness I have always used 1Password as well, so I generally have the same data there. But the Passwords app crashing is really unforgivable. I’m not holding my breath for a solution.
