Cannot turn off Mission Control

I have gone into my system settings desktop/dock / Mission Control and turned off all the settings and turned off all hot corner. I have an M1 MacBook Pro running sonoma 14.7.4. I have a 30" monitor connected to my laptop with the 30 inch display set as an extended display. Every time i drag an open window about halfway off the right side of my 30" display, it pushes it to a new space, and it drives me crazy because i do not want it in its own space, and i do not know how to get it out of the new space and back to its original space. The only solution i have seen is to turn off mission control using terminal, and I do not want to mess with anything in terminal because with my luck it will brick the machine. The only way i seem to be able to get the window that has moved to a new space back to the original space is to quit the app that is running the window, restarting it in the oringinal space, OR i have to total restart my machine.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.6
