Why are my AirPods Max not working properly?

I have a pair of AirpodPro Max (1st Generation) that aren’t working. They are charged, and I can press the noise control button and get the green light. They don’t do anything if I put them on my head, and I’ve tried resetting them by pressing the volume dial and noise control button tell button, but I just get the light to flash amber 3 times.

I saw some folks post about sticking the headphones in the freezer, which I did, but that didn’t work.

Are there any other troubleshooting ideas that I should try?

If you still have warranty then send it to be fixed, if not then you are out of luck. Had the same issue because it’s a design flaw and it cannot be fixed, Apple won’t provide any support except paying 450 dollars of repair service with only 90 day warranty. I will not buy Apple products anymore.

Try to reach out to Apple Support. I had the exact same issue several times over the years, and I got AppleCare with the product. They sent it back to the factory for repair 3 times and the issue persisted. The last time I went they said since it was sent back 3 times already and there was no point sending it back again, so they gave me the new USB-C version and took the old one back.
