I am using a Nord Stage 3 Keyboard for midi and Musio for external instruments on a MacBook Pro. For either MIDI or software instrument playback there is no sound. I can hear sound during/without recording however.
How can this be fixed?

To be clear...you are using an "External Instrument" plug-in in Logic Pro OR
are you using the plug-in "Musio". Please clarify.
Do Logic Pro Stock instruments work or is it just Musio giving you issues? You may also want to refer to their site as this is a forum for Logic Pro.
Lastly, do you have the Nord connected via USB? Are Midi Messages being sent to Logic Pro? Look below for an example of what this looks like:
The problem is with Musio. What Midi Channel is the Nord Outputting its Midi. In the example below,
the Midi Not being played is D2 at a velocity of 64 on Midi Channel 1. The otehr symbol is a Note off message. What do you see? Check both in Logic but also in Musio.
You can adjust Midi settings from the Keyboard and in Logic Pro's Track Inspector.

I am using Musio plugin, as a software instrument track but I've also tried just with a MIDI track.
Logic Pro instruments work fine during playback. Musio works fine, except no sound during playback.
yes, Nord connected via USB. The signals appear like in the video.
I have Musio at home but am working a recording gig now. Will follow up when I get home.
Please check the output of the channel strip so it says "Stereo Output".
Is Musio receiving on All channels as well? It can receive the data but if it is receiving on the correct channel it will not playback.
If the correct Midi Channel is set in Musio, I would look at where you are storing the Musio Samples.s Are they loaded on an external drive? If the Nord works with other software instruments, then you have to look at Musio.

The Nord is outputting Midi set for 'All' channels. When I play C it's '1 C 30'.
In musio, the midi symbol lights up when the recording is played - but no sound.
