I have a set of files from a live recording made 25 years ago. No copyright, not purchased. Computer has been "authorized" (whatever that means). Can't burn to CD. Error message for 12 of 14 files: "Some of the files cannot be burned". The only suggestion made has to do with authorizing, which has been done (twice).

Alden, That is a huge file but Music should be able to handle it. Right-click the file on your desktop and choose Open With > Music. It should start playing and highlight the correct library entry, so make sure that is the same one that you are using in the playlist.

Make sure to have a backup copy of the good file. Then delete the bad file in Music, and re-load it.
If you use Finder and Get Info on the burning and non-burning files, are there any differences?

I couldn't see any differences that way. But within the Music app the Get Info was very different for the non-burnable ones. (1 is burnable; 8 is not)

Track 8 is only 3 kB in size. Not a real audio file. Replace it by a real audio file.
8 looks corrupt.
