Exponent symbols in Scribble

Hello,

I am new to Scribble and I would like to use it for school (I’m a special needs teacher and I create materials for my students to review what we have done in class). I have been trying to write any sort of things with good results, but I’ve had an issue with some equations for the math class. When I try to write the exponent symbol ( such as x^2) my handwriting gets translated to x2.

Is there any way to fix this?

I’m using a 10th generation Ipad and a compatible Apple Pencil.
