Why won't my GarageBand tracks stay sustained after recording?

I'm a composer that uses GarageBand for EVERYTHING. Recently, though, my tracks (that i use the sustain pedal on) are not staying sustained after recording. It's ruining my experience with the app, but I have to make music, and I don't have another alternative. I've tried every fix I could think of, like resetting the app or restarting the device, but nothing is working. PLEASE someone tell me how to fix this, or if it's a bug, patch it?
