How to shrink the Preview screen on Mackbook Pro

I open a pdf file on the Macbook, immediately a Preview screen appears that hogs the whole screen between all its 4 corners. And I see no way to reduce it to standard 8.5 by 11 inch paper size. It is impossible to have anything else on my monitor... and any type of work is impossible then .

I can enlarge the image pdf file , but it just covers 10 % max of the full screen black Preview space.

What to do ?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.3

get out of full screen mode— the green pill button or from the drop down View>Exit Full Screen (Fn F) ...?
