What didn't work - there are eight different steps in that guide to go through. Did none of them work? What happened when you tried them?
How are you returning a 2019 iMac to a vendor? Surely you can't mean whoever sold it to you, unless you mean you are recycling it? Or, do you mean return to an employer? In which case if they are managing the computer using MDM, you should talk to your IT department and have them erase and reset it for you (while you watch) after signing out of any personal accounts you are signed into.

That didn’t work, please suggest something else. The unit I am trying to clean is to return it. Would changing the password so the vendor could not access my account?
