Sharing my screen mutes me on FaceTime

Whenever I share my screen with SharePlay while on FaceTime, it mutes me automatically. This is infuriating because when I'm sharing my screen it's for a reason - to talk over some content. And I always forget because it doesn't make it abundantly clear that it's muting you.


is there a setting to change this? I couldn't find one

Maybe you are muted in order to allow for other audio to be listened to (video / music / games) using Shareplay.:

In that case, instead of using Shareplay, try just sharing the screen , while continuing the FaceTime call,
