2008 model Apple computer

I bought a 2008 model Apple computer at a yard sale. They erased everything so I need to recover the original operating system. Does anyone have step by step instructions?

Did they provide that Mac's original DVDs? You will need them.

Those two grey discs must accompany the Macs they came with from cradle to grave.
