What are the pros and cons of a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro upgrading to Sequoia? I'm currently using OS Sonoma. I wondering if most of the new features in this upgrade only apply to later models and won't work on my 2019 MacBook Pro. It says it is compatible, but is it useless for my laptop? Thank you in advance for your advice.
I have a 16-inch Macbook Pro and waited until Sequoia 15.3 and then upgraded from Sonoma. I found the upgrade fairly fast and seamless and have not noticed any lost features or issues. There are some additional new features, see the link by FoxFifth, especially for those who use iPhones. I use several different browsers, Microsoft 365, Adobe software, TurboTax, a few other things. Two old printer/scanners, one from 2011 and one from 2015, still print and scan just fine, even under Sequoia. The new AI things don't apply to older Intel Macs, but I use a newer one at work and turned off the AI there because I did not find its suggestions helpful, but some like it. I have not had any computer freezes or any applications force quit or quit unexpectedly since running Sequoia.
