Adding music to Shokz music player for swimming

I am contemplating purchasing a new music player to use while swimming. The Shokz player comes recommended. It claims to support AAC files. I am running Apple Music on a MacBook with a monthly subscription that lets me download songs/albums. When I check the info for songs I want to transfer to the potential new player, the file format shows as Apple Music AAC. Does this mean that I can simply drag and drop my downloaded songs to the player the way the manufacturer claims that I can in their videos?
