apple watch stopped tracking sleep stages

I have an apple watch 10 that I just purchased a week ago. it was tracking sleep stages just fine until 2 days ago, now if is tracking time asleep. I have sleep schedule set. I’ve tried rebooting the watch. Please help. Tracking sleep is the entire reason I bought the watch.

If a force restart did not work, unpairing the watch would be the next step:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support


To make sure that the backup data is not defective, set it up as a new device and see if self tracking works again.
