Two of the easiest ways:
To add multiple rows to the bottom of a table: click the circled = to its lower left and drag that down.
(You can also click in a cell in the bottom row and hit 'return' repeatedly.)
To add multiple rows in the middle of the table: select several rows, control click, and choose Add Rows Above or Add Rows below.

To add a whole lot of rows quickly to the end of the table, use the Format sidebar. Go to the Table tab in the sidebar and type in how many rows you want the table to have.
