Apples verification codes disappeared too quick

Trying to set up my new MacBook Air, M4 15 inch and it’s asking me to verify my Apple account and it sends the code and the code comes in a disappears before I can even see that it’s here I’ve already checked and reset my phone and everything else so I’d like to have some new suggestions

So frustrated I’m considering returning the **** thing to Apple I don’t need to aggravation. I got my Mac studio.
