Does Apple TV audio format change, affects airpods sound quality

On my appleTV 4K, settings>video audio> audio format, i changed the format from off to on because my connected speakers are Dolby 5.1 compatible and the sound is better. Does anyone knows if this change, affects only the sound of the speakers which are connected by HDMI/Bluetooth, on the appleTV box or decreasing as well, the quality of the airpods sound when I use them on the apple TV?
