How to organize classical CD rips with different conductors on the same album?

Hello again apple community,

This time I am having issues with ripping CD's from a classical box set (In this case Bruckner symphonies 1-9). Each symphony it seems like has a different conductor. I want to keep them all on the same "album" just showing different disks.

I am running into the issue that they are conducted by different people and thus being filed differently. Is there a way to tag stuff correctly that keeps them in the same place? Also I will have (rap for instance) CD's that feature an artist and they wont be saved until i change the artist in cd info from X and Y to just X.

Thank you,

You could, for example, use Bruckner as the artist/album artist and place the conductor information elsewhere, e.g. in comments, or as a note in the title of the first track of each piece. E.g. <Name> [Conducted by <Conductor>]

In general adding a common album artist serves to link things together as long as you're not using an older device like an iPod classic. That said I tend to move this information into the title so I get something like <Name> [Feat. <Guest> while <Artist> is common across all tracks. [As <Alt. Band Name>] is another one. And square brackets distinguish these as notes about the tracks rather than parentheses that are part of the original title.
