Setting up 2 eSIMs on iPhones for Family Sharing

Can I have 2 eSIMs for one mobile number installed on 2 iPhones and working? The purpose is to share the package offered by the carrier between 2 family members.

I don't think so. One number, one device. How would you call each other? How would anyone else know which one of you they were calling?
