Terminal doesn't accept me as "authorized user"

Hi guys, I had to reinstall the operating system (Sonoma) of my MacBook Air (2023, M2) due to a virus.

Now I want to run a command in recovery mode on the terminal, but to complete it an “authorized user” is required - which has never been required before.

Who is this user supposed to be, if not me, who started the device as admin? But my admin user is not accepted. Does anyone know what the machine wants from me?

No, you didn’t have to reinstall macOS because of a virus (or any other type of malware).

Is it an Apple Silicon Mac or Intel?

Apple Silicon has some security which can get out of whack if you erase the drive. It then needs a DFU reset. That may be what it is asking.
