Gaining access to an old iPad

I recently found my childhood iPad mini 1st gen and wanna try to open it again. I have not got access to the old email used and didn’t make it myself so I don’t know any possible passwords. I was wondering if there was either a way to regain access to my old email or reset the iPad so I can use it
