Kernel panic is what that is called. Generaly when it happens that way, there is usually some hardware issue.

Please note, disconnecting hardware that needs to be writing data at the time it is writing can cause a panic too.

Additional causes include people trying to use an operating system not designed to work with the specific vintage of computer.


Power down the computer completely, and try only having power hooked up to it.

Also a Mac Pro is not a MacBook Pro or vice versa. MacBook Pro refers to the notebook, where Mac Pro refers to the tower computer, even when it is the one that looks like a small black trash can.
