My app is updated, so don't tell me to do that.
Every time I want to watch a show on Apple TV I have to sign in with my password on my TV, which is ridiculous because my password is long.
I don't have to do this with any other streaming app. If it weren't for a couple of shows I'd cancel altogether because this is nonsense.

Well, let’s make sure we understand what you are asking. First of all there is no password required for the Apple TV app on the Apple TV hardware box. So are you referring to an Apple TV+ streaming subscription you pay for instead?
Check for an update on your Samsung TV. For many in the last month there has been an update that had not yet been installed on the TV that resolved many problems with viewing content on the Apple TV app and those specifically noted Severance as not being able to watch. After the TV was updated, the problem went away. They didn't mention the login issue, but that should be the first thing to try.
I never have to enter the password for the Apple TV+ app on my TV. The only time that was required was when I first logged in.

Now the app stopped working in the middle of an episode of Severance. Error message says to check my internet, which is obviously working since I'm here.
This is a dreadful app.
