Apple Music Windows Client stops playing after skipping

Whenever i play music on my windows 10 desktop using the apple music client (downloaded from the microsoft store) and skip a song or click on one to play it while music is playing it just stops giving me music, it shows its playing on the progressbar but doesnt give me any music. Ive tried multiple things like switching output, reconnecting aux cable, ... but nothing works. This is clearly a problem with the Windows client for Apple Music. Any tips how i could fix this or is this something that needs to be fixed in a future patch?
