Screen goes black and you have to reboot it a certain way

I had a 15 iPhone Pro Max and it happened at least a dozen times. Where the screen turns black and need to reboot it a certain way. The last time it happened I was panicking and it took a while for me to reboot the phone. I bought the 16 Pro Max. I’ve only had it a few months and it has already happened twice. I can’t understand Apple when you can fix all these bug fixes and security, etc………. Why can’t you fix this malfunction with all the updates seriously every few months or sooner
