Screenshot forward menu errors with cannot save image to Photos

When I take a screenshot and hit forward icon it doesn’t show menu for apps to forward or save. I just get an error saying Unable to save image to photos.

I use this function regularly so I need apples help to fix this issue.

Also new photos I take with camera do not save to photos.

I have checked iCloud Photos is on, disabled and enabled it.

I have updated to latest iOS version.

I have restarted iphone

I have checked settings Privacy and security and all looks fine

I have over 50gb free storage on iPhone
