How can I access my data from a decommissioned Mac's Seagate expansion on an iPad?

I am so sick of apple if I had the money, my phone my I pad and iPod would be in the dustbin. I have a phone with that cloud on it that I have to pay for on it but I can not access the cloud from my iPad, We traveled across town to the apple shop ,they don’t deal with problems only sales. I have got a female usb connection ,after going to office works for advice.what else do I ask for…….officeworks didn’t have the connection nor did jaycar. My son had one………and it still nothing, how do I power my iPad to see my photos ,

Why can you not access iCloud from your iPad? Is it a power cord issue? I didn't follow that part.

An iPad might be able to read some files from your Seagate Expansion drive given the right connection adaptor, but iPadOS is not macOS, and iPads do not run all the same apps as Macs.

Even for apps with the same name, the data format might not be the same. For example, both the Mac and the iPad have Photos apps, but the iPad Photos app will not read a Mac Photos library from an external drive.

Apologies. I am not familiar with any of the shops you named, to know what they might or might not stock. In my area (Houston, Texas, USA), I would consult Best Buy, Micro Center, or an actual Apple Store for assistance or to purchase appropriate connectors and cables.
