Email search does not work

I have been dealing with this for about 6 months. When I search for something in Mail, it says "Indexing..." and it sits there for about 30 seconds, and then it doesn't find what Im looking for - which in some cases is an email I received that day (not hard to find!!)

I have done the little switch on/off of mail in spotlight settings. I have done the terminal commands.. I have rebuilt the mailboxes, re-installed accounts. Nothing works and Im really, really tired of this issue.

Contemplating throwing my machine out the window.
