How to have Automator delete original files after converting them.

My first attempt at using Automator. I made a workflow folder that I can drag image files into and they get scaled to %50. What I don't know how to do is get Automator to move the original files to the trash as part of the same workflow. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It would help if you showed your workflow.

My guess is that you've got some combination of selecting files and are using the Photo's -> Scale Image action to scale them, and when you set this up, Automator probably asked you if you want to add a 'Copy Finder Items' action to preserve your originals, right?

In this case, you don't want to preserve the original, so just nix that step.

Here's an example Workflow that receives image files in the Finder and scales them - in place - to 480px... no additional files or cleanup needed:

If you're using it as a Folder Action, the same thing applies - just apply the Scale Image action and eschew the Copy Finder Items
