Why are my husband's photos appearing on my iPhone in Family Share?

My husband, my kids and I have family share on our iPhones. Today I noticed a photo my husband took yesterday that is now on my iphone photos. We all have our own Apple IDs. I’ve never signed on with his phone or any other device that belongs to him. What is going on? Is this a glitch?

One possibility for the photo you mention appearing in your Photos app unexpectedly is if your husband sent it to you via the Messages app and if you have Messages set for automatic sharing.

Check this on your iPhone in Settings > Apps > Messages > Shared With You

You will see then a list of apps sharing content. If Photos is active there will be a green toggle visible.
