I have a Mac mini. I want an option to print to a file like a PDF in order to avoid using paper. Then I would have to scan into a file. I used to be able to do this on a Windows machine using Cute PDF.

Sometimes you just need to try something, you are not going to hurt the computer as long as you do 1 thing at a time, remember what you are doing (in the event you want to reverse what you did) and then see what happens.
Also, just a note when posting on these forums, when you reply to someone click the "Reply" link in their message. When you reply to your own post it looks like you are talking to yourself.
in the print dialogue at the bottom left there's a pdf button with a down arrow. Click the arrow and you'll get options for saving as or opening in pdf.
Choose Print from the File menu and look for an option to save it to a PDF.
