Minors Apple Cash Not Working After Lost Mode

My son thought he lost his phone so I entered it into lost mode. We ended up finding his phone so turned lost mode off. However, I have not been able to turn on his Apple Cash. He gets an error message that states “apple account verification required enter password”. There is no where to enter his password for his account on his phone since he is a minor. I have tried to enter his password from my phone under family with no luck. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This sounds like a technical issue, but I may be wrong. Apple Support generally handle the iOS side of things and Green Dot Bank handle the banking side of things. My gut reaction is it’s and Apple issue and not a banking issue. But it could be a security issue and that’s more if a gray area.


Please start by calling !-800-MY-APPLE and explaining it’s an iphone issue, Apple Family Cash issue and not a Green Dot Bank issue. They may still transfer you, but exhaling the situation and hopefully, you’ll get the issued resolved. If you have issues or it gets frustrating, reply here and let me know what was said.
