How do I copy my digital signature on iMac for signing letters?

How can I copy my signature to use on iMac to sign letters?

I will assume you are not referring to a digital (cryptographic) signature, and are also not referring to a digital certificate intended to digitally sign messages as part of S/MIME, but rather referring to an email signature containing image of your hand signature.

Mac mail supports markup, which can be used to “sign” a mail message, as well:

Thank you very much for your quick response. I know what I want to achieve, but I don't think I have explained myself clearly.

Some years ago before the ravages of old-age set in and when I was more capable I managed to accomplish what I now want to do without any difficulty but this is no longer the case.

What I did was to create a file containing different versions of my handwritten signature with first name, middle name, last name, initials alone, nickname, first name by itself etc.

I now want to do the same sort of thing for my wife and which will allow her to sign her personal letters much more easily.

I recall I was able to do this quite easily using a program - PDF pen which is an item I no longer have.

I assume this is something which can readily be done though it is now unfortunately too much of a challenge for me.

I know this may not help, but I did find some Youtube videos about creating a digital signature in Preview which I want to try. PDF Pen was wonderful; I loved the features of that program, and don't like the new version that is Nitro PDF, so didn't buy it.
