Can no longer talk on my iPhone THRU my iMAC

Whenever I would be working on my iMAC and have my iPhone nearby I could answer any incoming calls via my iMAC. In the last year that is no longer any option. What happened? Software is current on both my iPhone 12 and my iMAC. I feel that a software update (maybe a year ago...haven't been using the iMAC that much) changed how that function worked. It was a bluetooth option because I used it COUNTLESS times. Once in awhile it wouldn't work and I'd have to make sure my phone was synced to the iMAC via BT. It was a BIG help to run the phone thru my computer. Just using the speaker on my iPhone isn't the same. If the function is truly gone for some dumb reason it's pretty sad. Thanks for your help and/or reply.

  • Each device is connected to the same network using Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Apps > Phone > Calls on Other Devices, then turn on Allow Calls on Other Devices.
  • On your iPad, go to Settings > Apps > FaceTime > Calls from iPhone, then turn on Calls from iPhone.
  • On your Mac, open the FaceTime app, choose FaceTime > Settings (or Preferences), then select Calls From iPhone.
