How do I turn on backup due notification on my MacBook Air?

My mac book air used to voice notify me that it had been 10 days since my last backup to my portable drive. It no longer does. Where do i find the button or toggle to activate that notification? My OS is Sonoma 14.7.4.

To turn on backup due notifications on your MacBook Air running macOS Sonoma 14.7.4, go to System Settings > Time Machine. Ensure that your portable drive is connected and recognized. While macOS doesn't have a specific toggle for voice notifications, it does show reminders when backups are overdue.

If you’re not receiving them, try restarting your Mac or reselecting your backup disk under Time Machine Settings. Additionally, check Notifications settings under System Settings > Notifications to ensure Time Machine alerts are enabled.
