Why are my photos displaying smaller in the Photos app?

Before I was able to find the View Options (which lets me get 3 across of 5 across) I could not get Pinch/Zoom to work at all. Now it is working, but still only options are 1, 3 or 5 across. So I've got it on 3, (would rather 4, but still better than the 6 across it had to begin with).

For the Participated Threads, is there a time limit on how far back. Because I posted in several last year. But all I see is this current one showing.

Thanks. Odd that when the update first finished, my Photo App, Library Page had 6 across, I counted and they were very small.
