Unable to log in to iMac after power failure

After power failure won’t accept PW. Tried to go into Apple Account to reset and when I enter PW (same one I used to get here) all I get is a spinning wheel when I click the NEXT button

I will make sure it is set to English, not sure what happened to change that but this new keyboard makes it easy to change by mistake

Unless you really need another keyboard, go to system settings > keyboard > text input > edit > all input sources and use the minus button at the bottom to remove Spanish.

Used the recovery under setting on my phone and followed those instructions I got it back

i I think I am having the issue because when the iMac restarted after power outage it set the keyboard to Spanish not English so the special characters are different

So reset it to English. If you live in an area that has power outages from time to time, then it may be wise to invest in a UPS so you can shut the computer down properly when the power goes out.

Also, if you get lightning storms in your area, it is wise to shut down the computer when they occur and unplug it to add an additional layer of security.
