There is a problem with the date when the High Efficiency (HEVC) video was created after being converted via iCloud for Windows to the most compatible format.
The problem is that when converting High Efficiency (HEVC) video format via iCloud for Windows to the most compatible format, the date of this conversion is set in the metadata - the "Media Creation Date". And it is this date and time that are involved in sorting by "Date".
This makes it extremely difficult to organize albums in chronological order outside of iOS and especially archives.
It would be possible to switch to iOS to shoot videos initially in the most compatible format when there is no need for conversion. Then everything would be fine with the shooting date and sorting. But now, with videos shot in iOS 18 (specifically iOS 18) in the most compatible format, uploaded via iCloud for Windows, there is another problem: the video loads without thumbnails and without metadata. It also makes it extremely difficult to organize albums in chronological order outside of iOS and especially archives.
The situation is now at a stalemate. Does anyone know a way out of this situation?
