Calander on mac only uploading selective attachments

I have an issue on my mac native calandar app. It refuses to upload my photo files as attachments to an event, but uploads the PDF file. I can upload a photo but it stays only as a local attachment. It is a device issue as all pdf and photos are uploaded when using iclould web and iphone and visible from other devices.

How do I fix it to upload my image files? Macbook 13", 2022
