Apple recommends no such thing.
Apple advises the card might be stained or discolored if placed in leather wallets however.

The physical Titanium Apple Card can be carried anywhere you carry other cards though.
In general, this should not be necessary if you have your iPhone with you though as the card should also be in the Wallet app on the iPhone and can be used securely from there in any store that accepts Apple Pay.
